Working with data imported by data providers
Table of Contents
Overview
When executed, data providers import SaaS subscriptions, users and used applications . For example, you can import data from Sonar Clarity, using the Sonar Clarity Integration extension.
To see the imported data:
- Open the Licenses application.
- Go to Purchased Licenses > SaaS Subscriptions. The Users and Tags items display all imported users and tags.
- Go to Technical Inventory > SaaS Applications. You can review all SaaS applications detected via Sonar Clarity.
SaaS subscriptions
This navigation item provides an overview of active subscriptions along with assigned user accounts and application usage relevant to each subscription.
Use the subscription preview to check subscription terms, automatic renewals, and cancellation deadlines. The data on assigned licenses and related costs helps to identify potential cost savings.

SaaS users
SaaS users are matched to Enterprise Service Management persons by email address.
You can also manually assign a person to a SaaS user by employing the Associate with Person action.
For each SaaS user, you can review application usage and assigned subscriptions as well as last activity date and yearly costs.
SaaS applications
The SaaS application preview displays application usage for each application as well as corresponding subscriptions, assigned users and yearly costs.
All newly imported SaaS applications are assigned the Discovered status. Later this status can be changed manually by using the Change Status action.
The available status values are as follows:
- Reviewed. An application is being evaluated.
- Approved. An application is managed.
- Rejected. An application is not approved due to security or compliance issues.
The Active Users column for SaaS applications displays the number of users who have accessed the relevant application within the last 30 days.
To change the status of an application, follow the steps below:
- In the SaaS Applications list, click an application to open it.
- On the application preview panel, click Change Status.
- From the Change status to drop-down list, select a new status.
- Click Change Status.
