Patch Overview Full Disk Encryption

This article shows the latest hotfix releases with the corresponding solutions, improvements and, if available, new features with the corresponding release date.

Full Disk Encryption 26.1.0.2

Release: 10.06.2026

Solutions:

  • Resolved an issue in the FDE minifilter driver where a device lock was retained on FSLogix VHD-backed virtual drives, blocking all read and write operations on the affected volumes.
  • Corrected a behavioral regression where the FDE Credential Provider incorrectly activated during workstation unlock, now delegating the unlock flow entirely to Windows.

Improvements:

  • Extended authentication support to include Windows Smart Card login via the native Smart Card Credential Provider.
  • Simplified the installation by removing the LSA Notification Package and Network Provider registration, reducing component dependencies.
  • Removed deprecated OpenSSL (libeay) and Seagate-specific libraries from the installation package, eliminating legacy vendor dependencies.
  • Redesigned the FDE Credential Provider wrapping layer to correctly handle event delegation and interface negotiation with third-party credential providers such as Novell/OES.
  • Introduced separate PBA bypass status tracking for UEFI pre-boot and Win32 runtime environments, eliminating state conflicts in mixed authentication scenarios.

Full Disk Encryption 21.0.3.1

Solutions:

  • Fixed an issue where the synchronization with a custom background image and the synchronization with the lock screen image did not work in case of enabled secure boot.

Full Disk Encryption 21.0.2.2

Solutions:

  • Fixed an issue where PBA could not be initialized on a Fujitsu Lifebook A3510 remotely via the EgoSecure Data Protection Console.
  • Fixed an issue where computers did not boot after the FDE update to 21.0.1.0 via the EgoSecure Data Protection Console.
