Software Management
UEM Agent
The Standard Feature Release version 2604.2.2 of the UEM Agent is part of the installation. See the release notes for more details.
Please check the Marketplace or the implace upgrade function via EMC for new versions of the UEM Agent. Further details and information about the new features of the UEM Agent can be found here: Matrix42 Marketplace
Smart OS/Platform Mismatch Handling for Package Assignments
Packages assigned to incompatible operating systems or platforms are gracefully skipped without download, treated as a mismatching precondition, and reported only once to minimize log noise — with the status clearly visible as "undefined" (yellow) in the Empirum Management Console, giving administrators instant visibility into misconfigured assignments.
For better reliability the UEM Agent now uses the _Matrix42FileInfo.json file instead of setup.inf to check whether a package has changed.
Please check your running UEM Agent version and have in mind that only the newer UEM Agent versions are under Support. You can find an overview here.
If necessary, adjust the UEM Agent update settings of your computers before the update. After the update, the UEM Agent is configured as not released, it will only roll out automatically to computers configured for pilot rollouts.
Extended Export and Import of Software Packages
The existing export function was expanded so that when an Empirum package is exported, the defined preconditions of the package are also included in the export format and are then available again during import.
When exporting/importing, linked variables are part now of the export/import format (XML). This enables seamless and lossless exchange between development and production.
Extended Platform Support
The operating system macOS 26 (Tahoe) has been added to the operating system properties for a macOS software package.
Empirum Management Console (EMC)
Enhanced Usability
In the EMC Administration interface, the status and log dialog no longer closes when switching to other modules. This improves usability.
Several improvements have been made to Rollout Coordination, including the refresh behavior and filtering in the column view.
The Depot Server Status overview now displays the Depot Server version and the Agent version of the Depot Server.
Inventory
Monitor information of a Linux computer are now also displayed in the inventory properties.
The Inventory service no longer overwrites N/A values.
Patch Management
Patch Rollback
With “Patch Rollback,” IT administrators can uninstall previously installed patches from managed clients, thereby providing a rapid recovery mechanism when updates cause system instability or application conflicts. This is only possible for patches that are marked as uninstallable.
Severity based Auto Approval of Patches
In the AutoApprove settings for patches, you can now select the CVSS score as a criteria. This allows patches to be automatically downloaded and approved based on the CVSS score.
Redesigned Patch Management Progress Dialog
The Patch Management progress dialog has been redesigned to align with the UEM agent's visual style, delivering a consistent and polished end-user experience across all endpoint management interactions.
Improved Search
An additional time filter has been added to the search dialog. This now allows you to narrow down the search by time to avoid unnecessarily long query times.
Performance and Reliability
The patch catalog synchronization has been switched to incremental synchronization, so that only the data between the last update and the current catalog needs to be processed. This results in faster processing and significantly reduces the resource requirements for catalog synchronization.
The Patch Management components has been updated to the latest version (9.7.805).
Package Wizard
MSIX Packaging
The Package Wizard now supports creating deployment-ready PowerShell-based packages for MSIX apps and MSIX app bundles, streamlining the packaging process for modern Windows application formats and reducing manual effort for IT administrators.
OS Installer
The v26.1.0 ISO has the latest WinPE 1.9.14 integrated, but is ONLY installed for a new installation of Empirum. However, you can use the new function in the EMC "Download latest WinPE Support Package". Further details and information about WinPE can be found here: WinPE
Support of new CA2023 Certificates for WinPE Boot Configuration
The WinPE startup configuration has been extended to allow WinPE startup images to be created that are compatible with the new CA2023 certificates. The CA2011 (standard) certificate is still available for older hardware. If your hardware is prepared and the new certificate is available can be checked in the Inventory of the client in the section .of Secure Boot Status. More information about the general topic CA2023 can be found on Microsoft help pages, like here.
Personal Backup
The BTQH (x64) service now takes over the creation of the PBU file, replacing the Empirum Driver service. The Driver service will no longer be needed in the future and will be removed in a future release.

Empirum Web Console (EWC)
Update of the Tomcat version to 9.0.115 and Java version to 26.0.0. A manual update of the Java and Tomcat versions is described here.
Common Changes/Enhancements
UEM Depot Sync
A software package UEM Depot Sync 3.5 is part of the ISO and must be used in combination with at least UEM Agent 2604.2.2. We recommend updating to the new package in order to be able to use all the new features of Empirum v26.1.0. Further information can be found in our online help for UEM Depot Management here.
Optimized OS Driver File Synchronization
OS driver files are now synchronized using file hashing, eliminating redundant transfers and delivering significantly shorter sync times and reduced system load during repository synchronization.
With version > 2.0 of the package the synchronization mechanism has been changed in many areas and does not use the tradition ways. We highly recommend to read out help article before updating to this version at our help pages.
Enterprise Service Bus
Release 26.1 also includes a new version 4.28.1 of the Empirum ServiceBus service. This includes support for the UEM Depot Sync and stabilizations.
The Empirum Service Bus has been expanded to include the Windows Server 2025 operating system.
Notification of extended maintenance period (LTSB)
Empirum version 25.4.0 is declared as LTSB version. Customers who are entitled to Matrix42 Premium Support thus receive an extended maintenance period beyond the release of version 25.4.0 at the end of May 2026.
