Overview - Working with the Inventory configuration
The Inventory configuration allows you to create an unlimited number of Inventory configurations for various operating systems. For each operating system for which a certain Inventory configuration file can be created, there already exists a default configuration in the format EmpInvScan_[OS].xml (e.g. EmpInvScan_WINDOWS.xml). It already contains certain (example)-entries, which can still be customized to the needs in the company.
All newly created or existing configurations are written into the folder configured with DBUtil (The default is Configurator$\User on the Empirum Server). But Empirum Inventory always uses the respective configuration file in the format EmpInvScan_[OS].xml, if no other filename is given as parameter to EmpInv.exe.
