About this Release
Matrix42 Unified Endpoint Management 26.2 provides new and improved features that have been implemented. During the development of this version, we have been focusing on valued feedback from our customers and partners to provide an ideal feature selection.
In order to support the modernized Enterprise Service Management Platform (ESMP) several components were updated which are not compatible with older versions of the ESMP prior 26.2.
System Requirements
Please refer to the System Requirements document.
New prerequisite extension "Empirum Core"
The Empirum Core extension is a dedicated integration layer that decouples Empirum SDK components and workflow activities from the Matrix42 ESM Platform (ESMP). This separation eliminates version conflicts that can arise when ESMP updates and Empirum SDK releases are managed independently.
As Empirum Core Extension is a prerequisite of Empirum Inventory Extension it will be installed automatically when updating to UEM 26.2.
See the dedicated documentation for more information.

Reinstall Software Action
Service Desk agents and UEM administrators can now reinstall Empirum-managed software packages directly from the UEM Console without switching to the Empirum Console for this common troubleshooting task. Reinstall a package either from the installation state view (UEM → Deployments → Installation State) or directly from a computer asset, with the option to trigger an uninstallation first. A reinstall also forces a retry when Empirum had stopped installation after exceeding the maximum failed-retry count.
The reinstall state is visible in the deployment status and pending reinstallation can be cancelled with a dedicated action. If the reinstall process is not finished after three days a task is created to either prolong the time or cancel the reinstall process.
Reinstallations are performed in temporary assignment groups below UEM Console in Empirum.
Detect package export version when uploading packages
When uploading Empirum packages via the upload wizard, the version with which the package was exported or created is displayed. If the package was exported in v2 format and the connected Empirum system is older than 26.1, a warning is shown and the upload is blocked.
