Software Management
UEM Agent
The Standard Feature Release version 2610.1.2 of the UEM Agent is part of the installation. See the release notes for more details.
Please check the Marketplace or the in place upgrade function via EMC for new versions of the UEM Agent. Further details and information about the new features of the UEM Agent can be found here: Matrix42 Marketplace
Please check your running UEM Agent version and have in mind that only the newer UEM Agent versions are under Support. You can find an overview here.
If necessary, adjust the UEM Agent update settings of your computers before the update. After the update, the UEM Agent is configured as not released, it will only roll out automatically to computers configured for pilot rollouts.
The search function has been expanded and now supports additional object types, such as agent templates, patch groups, and other Empirum objects.
The “Repository – Sort Alphabetically” option has been removed.Extended Platform Support
The operating system macOS 27 (Golden Gate) has been added to the operating system properties for a macOS software package.
Empirum Management Console (EMC)
Enhanced Usability
The search function has been expanded and now supports additional object types, such as agent templates, patch groups, and other Empirum objects.
The “Repository – Sort Alphabetically” option has been removed.
Package Cloud
In EMC under Configuration → Package Cloud, you can now import or integrate software packages directly into the repository. The imported software packages can then be found in the depot “Matrix42 Package Cloud” tab. Packages that contain complete installation sources can then be deployed immediately. For packages that do not contain installation sources due to licensing restrictions, care must be taken to integrate them into the software packages afterward.
A valid Package Cloud subscription is required to use all available packages; otherwise, only a few packages will be displayed without a subscription.
Patch Management
The patch management components have been updated to the latest version (9.7.834).
Package Wizard
PSDAT 4.x Packaging
Starting with this version, the Package Wizard supports the creation of deployment-ready, PowerShell-based packages for PSADT 4.x native packages.
This optimizes the packaging process for modern Windows applications and significantly simplifies integration with Empirum. IT administrators benefit from reduced manual effort when creating and preparing packages for deployment.
OS Installer
The v26.1.0 ISO has the latest WinPE 1.9.15 integrated, but is ONLY installed for a new installation of Empirum. However, you can use the new function in the EMC "Download latest WinPE Support Package". Further details and information about WinPE can be found here: WinPE
ARM Support for Operating System Installation
Starting with this version, Empirum supports fully native operating system installation on ARM64-based computers. ARM64 systems can be deployed via PXE or offline media and can be equipped with the appropriate operating system, language packs, and the necessary ARM64 drivers. A prerequisite for using this feature is the WinPE Support Package Version 1.9.15, including the corresponding new PreOS packages. The usage of Self provisioning is currently experimental.
Empirum Web Console (EWC)
Update of the Tomcat version to 11.0.25 and Java version to 26.0.2. A manual update of the Java and Tomcat versions is described here.
UEM Depot Sync
UEM Depot Sync 3.6
The software package UEM Depot Sync 3.6 is not part of the ISO and must be used in combination with at least UEM Agent 2610.1.2. We recommend updating to the new package in order to be able to use all the new features of Empirum v26.2.0. Further information can be found in our online help for UEM Depot Management here.
Depot Sync 3.6 is available for download on the Marketplace and is primarily intended for customers using the LTSB version.
UEM Depot Sync 4.0
This is particularly relevant for software whose use or distribution is subject to geographic restrictions. For example, this ensures that software authorized for use exclusively within the EU is not synchronized to Depot Servers located outside the EU. The assignment is performed using so-called tags. This allows software packages and Depot Servers to be labeled accordingly, enabling targeted control of the synchronization process. In the current version, Depot Sync 4.0 initially supports only software objects. In future versions, selective synchronization will be gradually expanded to include additional object types such as operating system sources, language packs, and drivers.
Depot Sync 4.0 and the associated UEM Agent 2610.1.2 are available for download via the Marketplace.
With version > 2.0 of the package the synchronization mechanism has been changed in many areas and does not use the tradition ways. We highly recommend to read out help article before updating to this version at our help pages.
General Changes/Enhancements
Enterprise Service Bus
Release 26.2 also includes a new version 4.31.0 of the Empirum ServiceBus service. This includes support for the UEM Depot Sync and stabilizations.
This update fixed bugs and improved stability.
Empirum RestFul API
Starting with this version, Empirum offers a RESTful API for programmatic access to core Empirum functions. Among other things, the API enables the automated management of computers, groups, packages, patches, and rollouts. This allows for automation, integrations with third-party applications, and custom tools that go beyond the capabilities of the standard console.
The RESTful API is enabled and configured via DBUTIL. More information can be found here.
Notification of extended maintenance period (LTSB)
Empirum version 25.4.0 is declared as LTSB version. Customers who are entitled to Matrix42 Premium Support thus receive an extended maintenance period beyond the release of version 25.4.0 at the end of May 2026.

Known Issues
| Problem ID | Description |
|---|---|
| OS Installer | |
| The feature "WinPE http/s Support" has current restrictions and does not support the client certificate from the agent template. Additionally, Disk Imaging is not possible over http/s. | |
| Disk Imaging with Windows 11 24H2 requires additional attention. Please refer to our help and check the requirements. | |
| New Rollout Coordination | |
| The following options are not implemented: Direct opening of the SetupErrorLog, properties of a computer object, and selection of the computer in the configuration group | |
| Management Console (EMC) | |
| On Windows Server 2025 and Windows 11 (version 25H2 and later), the Empirum Management Console may experience performance issues, such as delayed display of dialog boxes. This is caused by operating system behavior, not a bug in Empirum. A product-side fix is not currently available. We are continuing to analyze and monitor the situation and will update these notes as new information becomes available. |
