The new Empirum Agent has been specifically adapted to provide the complete functionality under Microsoft Vista and is a combination of the previous Empirum Agent and the Mobile Agent.
Use the Windows 
and the Mac OS X 
icons to specify whether this configuration shall be used for Windows, for Max OS X or for both operating system variants.
To configure the Empirum Advanced Agent:
- Go to Configuration > Software Management > Empirum Agent tab in the navigation pane.
- Click General Settings.
- Name. Displays the name of the open Empirum Agent template. If a new template is created, this field is empty.
- Description. Any text may be entered to describe the Empirum Agent template.
- Version. This field cannot be changed. It contains the Empirum Agent template file version (XML file).
- Use as Default Template. If this option is enabled, this template is used for all computers that have not been assigned an Empirum Agent template. This applies in particular when the Empirum Agent is installed after the operating system installation. If this option is enabled, the template can only be deleted if another template has been specified as default template. The template where this option has been enabled most recently is the default template.
