This function is used to compare the data of the respective Setup.inf (master) to those in the database. In case of inconsistencies, an alert is sent, and you can decide how you want to proceed. If no error message is displayed when this action is performed, your data are consistent.

To compare the versions in the software depot with the setup scripts:

  1. Go to Tools > Check Versions.

The Check Versions dialog will be displayed. Each time a variance is detected between the settings in the software depot and the setup scripts, a Checking Conflicts dialog appears where you can decide how to proceed.

It is possible, for instance, to increase the version number in the setup script of an Empirum package without doing so in the software depot. The check allows you to take over the values from the scripts into the software depot.

Check Versions dialog

Displays the current information when versions are checked. In case of a conflict, the Checking Conflict dialog will appear.
