Overview
To use the latest version of the extension, please update your Enterprise Service Management solution to version 12.1.3 or higher.
The Amazon Web Services Inventory extension imports resources and virtual machines from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) access portal into Enterprise Service Management. This enables you to discover and handle maintenance for an inventory of cloud-based virtual machines. Additionally, it creates corresponding objects in asset management.
You can import information about:
- Essential configuration data (operating system, processing power, memory)
- Managed software
- Installed applications
The Cloud Services dashboard provides detailed analytics for imported resources.
You can install the extension from the Matrix42 Extension Gallery.
After installation, you need to configure two data providers that import resources and virtual machines separately:
- Amazon Web Services Inventory
- Amazon VMs Inventory
