Overview

The Gallery component provides a modern, interactive way to display and explore multiple images within a Matrix42 Enterprise application, instead of only a single image.

The Gallery displays a primary image with thumbnail navigation, letting you switch between images instantly without leaving the current page. You can also open an image in an enlarged preview for a more detailed view, which is useful for product images, screenshots, and other visual content embedded in rich-text fields such as ticket descriptions.

Configuration

The Gallery component is available in Layout Designer. An administrator can add it to an application layout, configure the image collection, select the primary image, and define the display order.

The Self Service Portal's Service Catalog uses this component to show multiple images for a single service; see Ordering services for the end-user side of that experience.

Compatibility

Existing services or records configured with a single image, using the Image Picker control, continue to display exactly as before. The Gallery component is an additional option for showing more than one image, not a required replacement.
