| Parameter | Significance |
|---|---|
| /AUT | Reads the data which have been gathered via the Application Usage Tracking per user. |
| /C | Name of the XML configuration file (filename). |

The files created temporarily during DMI queries, DMI.txt and Dellinfo.txt are stored in the %TEMP% directory. |
| /L | For the clear ID in the export format (/E), the computer name is used instead of the MAC-Address. |
| /M | Display MSI installation source and uninstall command in the export format (/E). |
| /N | The output of the software inventory does not take place alphabetically. |

| /S | Reads all services, not only the started ones. |
| /SET "Table1","Column1"="Value1";"Table2","Column2"="Value2"; … | Overwrites afterwards values identified with Inventory in the Inventory output file. e.g. /SET"InvComputer","UserName"="Maria Miller" |
| /T | Reads the size of the Temp directory. |
| /U | User name for web mode/remote mode. |
| /V | Adds the version numbers in the section [FileScan]. |
| /V2 | Same as /V, additional version information - if existing - are read. |
| /WMI | Adds WMI information to the output file. |
| /Y | Waiting time in seconds before EmpInventory.exe is started. |
| /ZIP | Compresses the output file. |
If no /E parameter is used, the output is done in INI syntax.
