Context menus in the Depot tab
If you right-click on a tab, on a tab (e.g. Software), or on a software package, you can perform various other actions.
Copy Preconditions / Paste Preconditions
If preconditions are defined in the package conditions, they can be copied to other packages. The two options "Copy preconditions" and "Paste preconditions" are then available in the context menu of the respective package.
Import/Export
You can either export from or import all software packages to the Registers tab, export all packages in the selected tab or import all packages to this Tab name tab or import an individual package into the selected tab or export a package from this tab.
The import and export of software classes is now possible. You can decide whether you import only the class description, or the class description including all dependent packages.
You can only import packages that have been exported before or have been generated with the Empirum Prepackaged Wizard. The package properties also specify the tab to which the packages are imported. If the wizard is used to create the tab, no tab properties are available - you must add them accordingly.
Each package is assigned a unique ID when it is exported for identification purposes.
Exported packages are not compatible with older versions of Empirum (less than v25.4 HF as of January 2026). Import via the Empirum Management Console (EMC) is not supported. If you want to import into an older version, you must do so using the Empirum SDK.

The following example explains how you can import Empirum prepackaged packages.
- Right-click Tab, select Import/Export > Import Package.

- Click Next..

- Enter the directory or use the Browse button
to select the directory. The default directory for import / export is "\\%EmpirumServer%\Configurator$\PackageStore". - Decide whether you want to delete the packages from the source after successful import.
- Decide whether you want to prepare the packages for validation directly after the import.
- Click Next >.

- Select the packages to be imported and click Finish.
- The packages will be imported. Click OK to confirm that import has been completed successfully.
- A hash value is generated for each imported package.
- Show classes only
If this option is enabled (checked), only the packages of the selected classes are imported.
Sort Alphabetically
This option is only available if you right-click a Tab.
A message will be displayed that sorting the packages might change the installation sequence. If you confirm this message with Yes, all packages in the selected tab will be sorted in alphabetical order.
