The view under Locations depends on the number and the names of the databases. If only one database has been defined, the Locations section will not be displayed.
Left Part of the Administration Tab
On the left side of the Administration tab, all imported/created computers are indicated under the Computers group and all imported/created users are displayed under the User group.
The meaning of the icon colors and the colors of the icon text is explained in Color Settings and Icons in Empirum Administration .
Computers can be created by:
- Empirum Inventory (EmpInv.exe),
- manual adding,
- import of an inventory solution previously used and
- PXE (Preboot Execution Environment).
To scan the existing computer data and the already documented user data into Empirum Manager, you have to import a text file exported from the previously used inventory solution (see Computer Import and User Import).
By using filters, you can display a special group of computers. You can use default filters or define your own filters (see Filters for Computers).
The number of computers assigned to a filter is displayed in the lower right-hand corner of the status bar of the Empirum Manager.
In the middle section of the status bar at the bottom of the Empirum Manager, the active location (DSN: < Name> ) and the registered database user (DB User: <User>) are displayed.
