Database users assigned to the role EMP_M_AUDIT_ADMIN can set the log behavior of the Audit. In order to do that, you can select from the categories All, Default, Critical and None, which log a various number of actions. Actions which are logged are marked in the tree with the symbol
, actions which are not logged are marked with the symbol
.
- Select the menu Data > Settings.
- You get to the dialog Audit:
- Select the category of actions to be logged.
- Confirm with OK.
- The actions contained in the selected category are now logged.
The Audit settings All, Nothing, Critical and Standard differ as follows:\
-
All: All actions in Empirum are logged.
This setting is recommended if actions must be verified/proven and if a reduced database performance due to such intensive logging can be tolerated. -
Nothing: No activities are logged.
This setting is recommended if database performance is highly critical or if only very few persons have access to Empirum. -
Critical: Only those actions are logged which (might) bear a certain risk potential when working with Empirum.
This includes the activation and deletion of systems and configuration groups, the assignment of software to systems and configuration groups, etc.
This setting is recommended if the most risky actions should be logged although database performance is critical. -
Standard: Those actions are logged that comply with certain security policies or concern the general work with Empirum, including deactivation, deletion, assignment, update of devices etc.
This setting is recommended if database performance is less critical and if general administration jobs shall also be logged.
