The WMI Query Language (WQL) is an SQL variant for WMI queries (Windows Management Instrumentarium). This dialog can be used to add, edit or delete user-defined WMI queries:

To become effective, user-defined WMI queries must be activated by checking the Activate box.
- Add. Click Add to create a user-defined WMI query.
-
Edit. Click Edit to modify a user-defined WMI query. The following dialog will be displayed:

Enter the WMI query as text.
Example: Read out memory size of individual memory banks:
SELECT DeviceLocator,Capacity, PositionInRow, Tag FROM Win32_PhysicalMemory- Numeration. Specifies whether the results of a WMI query shall be shown as a value in one line (numeration = No) or as several values in one line (numeration = Yes, hook is set).
Example: When reading out the memory size of the individual memory banks with the WMI query SELECT DeviceLocator,Capacity, PositionInRow, Tag FROM Win32_PhysicalMemory, all values of the individual banks are written in one line if numeration = No. If numeration = Yes, several entries (for several memory components) are created in the form WMI_PhysicalMemory 0, WMI_PhysicalMemory 1,... and the respective values are shown in the respective entries.
- Numeration. Specifies whether the results of a WMI query shall be shown as a value in one line (numeration = No) or as several values in one line (numeration = Yes, hook is set).
- Delete. Deletes the marked WMI queries.
