This setting is only required for an Empirum Agent template on a Citrix server.

The Matrix42 Agent automatically detects when it is installed on a Terminal Server. In this case, no kiosk is displayed. It is also not possible to display the kiosk for testing purposes.

If you want to update a Citrix server where several users might be logged in you need a maintenance window for installing the required updates.

  1. Activate (check) the User logoff during maintenance option and select the required options under Warning Message and Properties.

SWM_EA_011

  1. Click File > Save in the Matrix42 Management Console or click Save Speichern in the toolbar.
  • User logoff during maintenance (Enable)

If this box is checked, specific settings for a Windows Terminal Server / Citrix XenApp server will be activated in the Empirum Agent template (corresponds to Change User Install / Execute and Change Logon Enable / Disable).

  • Warning Message
  • Language

Use the drop-down field to select the language (German or English) for the warning message.

  • Text

Enter the text to be displayed to the users before maintenance work is performed to allow them to log off correctly.

  • Preview

Use this button to view the text result.

  • Properties
  • Grace period before logoff: x minutes

Specify the time in minutes available for a correct user logoff after the warning message has been displayed.

  • Force logoff

If this option is enabled (checked), all users who are logged in after the grace period has expired will be logged off from the Citrix server, and the server will go into the maintenance mode.

The installation of packages with user parts on terminal servers is not recommended. In case you have to install packages with user parts anyway, please refer to How to install user parts on terminal servers on the Matrix42 Knowledge Base ( Registration Required ). In general, we recommend that you do not use user parts when installing packages on terminal servers.
