Understanding Complex Workflows with Neo
Table of Contents
Overview
Neo can explain an existing workflow in natural language, turning complex automation logic into a clear, structured description. This makes it easier to understand inherited or complex workflows, troubleshoot automation logic, onboard new team members, and review business processes before making changes.
Neo analyzes the actual workflow configuration, including triggers, actions, conditions, decision branches, execution paths, and subworkflows. The explanation covers not only what each step does, but also how the overall process works, why particular decisions are made, and what outcomes can be expected.
Key Capabilities
- Get a clear, natural-language explanation of an existing workflow without manually analyzing every step.
- Neo analyzes the actual configuration, including triggers, conditions, actions, and execution paths.
- Supported branches, parallel paths, loops, and subworkflows are explained correctly.
- Technical identifiers are replaced with readable names where available.
- Review and understand a workflow without modifying or executing it.
Using the Explanation
Explanations are presented directly within the Workflow Designer experience. You can request an explanation for a supported workflow, and the result is displayed in M42 Assist. The explanation can be regenerated without modifying the underlying workflow data.
Limitations
- Unsupported or unresolved workflow elements are clearly identified rather than silently skipped.
- The explanation does not invent logic that is not present in the workflow.
- Invalid or incomplete workflows are not presented as fully understood.
