Matrix42 Administration is a module of the Matrix42 Workplace Management suite. All important PC and user configuration data are stored in a central place (SQL server). Based on this information, an extensive management of machine- and user-specific configuration components becomes possible. By linking the individual modules of the Matrix42 Workplace Management suite, Matrix42 Administration allows companies to implement flexible software management strategies.

On Administration the following details are displayed for every location which has been defined:

• the imported computers and users
• the configuration of the groups, and
• the imported software packages, push jobs, operating system templates, and PXE boot images

The Multi-Site View

The multi-site solution is implemented by means of a particular database combination. The following information is stored in the so-called location manager database (EmpLocations):

• the number of locations
• the location names

Matrix42 Administration can administrate the contents of the different databases by means of the standardized Windows drag & drop technique.
