The assignment of operating system imports is available at Empirum v18.0 Update 2.
Since Empirum v19.0, Windows 7, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 can be assigned in addition to Windows 10.
The assigned operating system imports are used in WinPE-based OS deployment (from version 1.4.5). If an EmpirumPE-based deployment is performed, the operating system configured in the assigned OS template is used as usual.

How to add an operating system template to a group:

  1. Choose the operating system import and select the child edition of the import you want to add to a group.

Selecting the edition of an imported operating system source not only determines which imported operating system source should be used, but also which edition should be used that is located in the imported operating system source.

  2. Drag and drop the edition onto the group.
The Edition of the operating system import is displayed in the selected group.

Example:

The edition Windows 10 Enterprise of the operating system import Windows 10 x64 English is to be added to the group Accounting.

It is possible to assign a subordinated group a different operating system import than the parent group.

If you perform such an assignment, this is indicated by the following dialog.

Manager_064

  1. If you select Yes, the operating systems import of the subordinate group will be deleted. The operating system import of the parent group is inherited.
  2. If you select No, the operating systems import of the subordinated group will be maintained.
  3. By selecting the Don't show this dialog again! checkbox, you can prevent this message from being displayed again.

You can revoke these settings via the Tools > Reset Default Answers menu.
