The Empirum API Service

This service is the external communication interface to other applications, e.g. the Matrix42 Service Store (starting from version 8.0) or the Matrix42 Empirum SDK.

A user configured in the Service Store must belong to the role EMP_SERVICES on the Matrix42 location.

  • Protocols
    • HTTP Connection
      • Default port: 9200
      • Encrypted by certificate (https)
        Select your own, valid, installed certificate from the certificate store (e.g. from \Personal) and restart the service after-wards.
      • Unencrypted (http)
        HTTP(s) is recommended if, for instance, the Matrix42 server and the Service Store server shall be connected via the Internet.
    • TCP Connection
      • Default port: 9100
      • Encrypted
      • Unencrypted
        A high-performance protocol, but encryption is only possible within a domain or in trusted domains (in this configuration, Kerberos encryption is used).
  • Installation Log On: Allows you to specify credentials, which must then be made in the Installation Log On tab.
  • Service Log On: Allows the specification of a service user account, which must then be made in the Service Log On. The service is then started via this user account.
