The Empirum Automation Interface (EAI) tables can be found in the database of the respective Empirum location. In order to use the interface, two tables with corresponding tasks and parameters have to be filled out, and after the processing with Empirum, to be deleted again.
A description of all possible parameters, as well as common examples can be found in the folder AddOns\ExternalActivation on the Empirum Server, in the file Automation_Interface_Parameters.xls.
The following tables must be taken into consideration:
- EmpExtSubscribers – Folder for the external task giver
- EmpTaskQueue – Task management
- EmpTaskParam – All parameters required for the task processing
In order to be able to control Empirum via the Automation Interface, each task giver, respectively each external system must be known as subscriber. This happens by means of an entry in the table EmpExtSubscribers. Each subscriber receives a clear ID and a description text. With the ID, each task is assigned to a subscriber, and can thus be followed by him.
All tasks are saved in the table EmpExtQueue. The following fields have to be filled out there:
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
| ID | Clear task ID. |
| ID_EmpExtSubscribers | Foreign key of the subscriber. |
| Priority | Not used at the time. |
| Name | Describing name of the task. |
| ActionType | Type of the task, e.g. SWDistribution or Delete. |
| ActionCode | Task, e.g. SetVariable or Install. |
| TargetObjectType | Target object, e.g. Client, Group, PXEImage. |
| Status | Current status of the task, e.g. 1=New, 4=Running, 5=Success. |
| AllOrNothing | Is set to 1 if the task is not to be followed, and is to be deleted immediately after execution instead. |
| InsertTimeStamp | Timestamp. |
| Errorcode | Error type. |
| ErrorText | Error message. |
Each task has corresponding parameters, which are saved in the table EmpTaskParam. A connection between the task and the corresponding parameters is created via the ID.
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
| ID | Clear ID. |
| ID_EmpTaskQueue | Reference to the corresponding task. |
| Name | Name of the parameter. |
| [Value] | Value of the parameter. |
At present, the tasks can not be deleted about the Empirum management consols yet and these stop through in the tables. You can have a script about the Matrix42 support which deletes all tasks.
