Connect a Software Asset Management Instance to M42Next

Add the Matrix42 Tenant

1. Go to ADMINISTRATION > Integration > Service Connections > Tenants.
2. Click Add Tenant.
   
3. Add the Matrix42 tenant using your Matrix42 credentials: Subscription ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
   

   

4. Click Save & Close.

Add the Service Connection

1. Go to ADMINISTRATION > Integration > Service Connections > Connections.
2. From the Add drop-down list, pick Add Service Connection.
   
3. Click Setup Authentication for the new Service Connection.
   

   

4. Click Save & Close.

Create the Web Service Token

1. Go to ADMINISTRATION > Integration > Web Services Tokens.
2. Click Generate API Token.
3. For the new token, provide the Name, expiration date, and User.
   To avoid re-generating the token, you can change the Expires on setting to Never expires.
4. Click Generate API Token.
5. Copy the API token manually; you will need it in the next step.

Send the API Token to M42Next

1. Go to ADMINISTRATION > Intelligence.
2. Under Useful Help Resources, click Send API Token to M42Next.
3. Paste the API token into the text box.
4. Click SEND API TOKEN TO M42Next.
   

Connect Integrations

To finalize the SaaS Management Onboarding, do the following:

1. After completing the previous steps, check your inbox. You will receive a welcome email containing your credentials. 
2. Log in to app.viio.io and start the Onboarding. (Matrix42 uses app.viio.io in the background to collect data and send it to your Software Asset Management Instance.)
3. Set up the integrations.
4. Once you have finished setting up your integrations, return to the Software Asset Management instance.
   The data will be automatically available as soon as it is collected via the integrations.
5. To check if all your integrations successfully collect the data, open the overview page.
