If Matrix42 DBUtil has created the location database with Windows authentication (ADS), it is possible to log onto the location database directly with the log-on information of the logged-on user.
Windows authentication can only be used if your company uses the Active Directory Services (ADS) by Microsoft for user authentication! Under Linux, Windows authentication is not possible!
If workgroups are used, authentication must be done through the database authentication process, as before.

If a location database has been created with database authentication, log-on is effected through user name and password, as before.
If the local user is a member of the "Domain Admins" group or the group of local administrators for the server used as SQL server, log-on to the Matrix42 Management Console (EMC) normally includes "dbo" rights.
The user administration of Matrix42 DBUtil can be used to add ADS users and assign them the respective rights.
