Depending on the set Control element set during the Variable definition, several Values are shown here.
- Name. Specifies the name of the selected variable. This name can be set via the Variable Definition.
- Description. Gives a short description (as far as it was entered) for the selected variable. This description can be set via the Variable Definition.

- Use Empirum internal encryption (only available for variables of type password). If you activate this option (checkbox ticked), then the defined password will be stored encrypted with internal Empirum encryption.
- Reset Value. If you activate this option (checkbox ticked), the value defined here for the selected variable is deleted. Thus, the value which is inherited from a parent configuration group is set. If no value is defined in a parent configuration group, then the value used as default for the variable definition is set. In this case, either the option "Allow Null Value" has to be activated, or a Default value has to be entered.
- Empty value. If you activate this option (checkbox ticked), then the variable remains set here, yet it is blank (""), having thus no content. This only works with variables for which the option "Allow Null Value" has been activated in the variable definition.
- Force Inheritance. This option is applicable only to configuration groups. If this option is activated (checkbox ticked), then the value of the variable entered here is inherited to all computers, users, etc. (depending on Variable type) of this configuration group to all child configuration groups. The forced inheritance makes sure, that the variable entered here will be the same for all affected computers, users, etc. (depending on Variable type) starting with this configuration group, and cannot be modified below.
