If you have created a structure as described under User-Defined Control Element and have activated the option Collection (checkbox ticked) you can assign this collection repeatedly to an object.

Assigning Collection to an object, e.g. a configuration group:

1. Start the Empirum Management Console (EMC), change in the navigation pane to Management > Administration and in the center window click on a configuration group and select Variables…
   You get to the Variables dialog window.
2. Expand the tree on the left side and under Computer > Control > User defined select your previously created Variable Definition.
   

   Only the objects for which a Variable Definition exists are displayed in the tree on the left side.

3. Click on the Add button.
   

   The Add button is only active if you have activated the Collection option at the variable definition (checkbox ticked).

   Under the variable definition previously created by you, there is now a 1 for the first element of this Collection. You now see the structure created before on the right side.
   
   

   Further elements (2, 3, 4, etc.) of this collection can be added to this object by pressing the Add button again.

4. You can enter a new value to the selected variable in the window on the right via the Edit button.

5. Close the Variables dialog window via the OK button.
