Empirum offers various functions that are delivered through a WWW or FTP server, including the following:

• Subdepot (through web access);
• Software installations on SuSE Linux Enterprise and RedHat Enterprise Linux.

Empirum allows for automatic configuration and installation via the Empirum Subdepot software package.

1. Start the Empirum Management Console (EMC), change in the navigation pane to Management > Administration.
2. Expand the Computer -> Empirum Server tree and select your server.
3. Right-click the entry and select Variables… in the context menu.
   
4. Double-click the SUBDEPOT variable or click Edit.
5. Mark the SERVICES variable and click Edit.
   
6. Mark the entry Webservice (checkbox ticked) and click OK.
   

7. Assign the Empirum Subdepot software package to the server.
