Synchronization of OS.ini, %ComputerName>.ddc and %ComputerName%.ini files from the Empirum Server to the respective depot servers can be accelerated significantly via the depot server quick synchronization (QuickSync) feature.

From Empirum 2008 upwards, the QuickSync functionality is a standard component of Empirum Sync!

The following additional directories are now created on the Empirum Server:

For OS.ini:

.\Empirum\EmpInst\Wizard\OS\EmpServer\auto\MAC8\OS.ini

.\Empirum\EmpInst\Wizard\OS\Temp\EmpServer\auto\MAC8\OS.ini

.\Empirum\EmpInst\Wizard\OS\Temp\EmpServer\temp\MAC8\OS.ini

For %ComputerName%.ddc and %ComputerName%.ini:

.\Empirum\ Configurator\Values\EmpServer\MachineValues\domain\%ComputerName%.ddc

.\Empirum\ Configurator\Values\EmpServer\MachineValues\domain\%ComputerName%.ini

.\Empirum\Configurator\Values\Temp\EmpServer\MachineValues\domain%ComputerName%.ddc

.\Empirum\Configurator\Values\Temp\EmpServer\MachineValues\domain%ComputerName%.ini

.\Empirum\Configurator\Values\Temp\EmpServer\temp\

If several Empirum Servers are assigned to a computer, the respective files are written under each assigned directory EmpServer or TempEmpServer.

New Empirum Sync templates have been defined for these additional directory trees, which copy the files from these directories to the appropriate locations on the respective depot server. A distinction is made between daytime and nighttime synchronization.

The templates for daytime synchronization have very short intervals, but do not check for new files (TempEmpServer) and move all existing files to the respective server.

In the night, complete synchronizations are performed (EmpServer), which also delete files on the Depot Server that are not required any more.
