New Features
Support for Multiple Agents on One PC
What's New
It is now possible to install multiple FastViewer Agents with different serial numbers on the same device. For new installations, the serial number is now displayed in:
- Installation folder
- Tray icon tooltip
- Registry entries
- Windows services
- Settings.xml
Why It Matters
Simplifies identification and management of individual agent installations on systems running multiple FastViewer environments.
Impact
Improved administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of multi-agent deployments.
Prerequisites
Full support is available for new installations or higher only (>=3.34.0020).
Notes
- Upgrades from older versions may not display the serial number in all locations.
- Legacy 3.33 Installer/Uninstaller logic stops any running FastTray instance.
- Downgrades from version 3.34 to version 3.33 (or older) are not supported and will be blocked (an entry will be written to the FastViewerService.log).
LogViewer: Enhanced Access Dialog Logging
What's New
Additional access dialog events are now logged in LogViewer on supported client and server versions.
Why It Matters
Provides administrators with greater visibility into access-related events, making troubleshooting and auditing easier.
Impact
More detailed client log data is available for analysis.
Prerequisites
FastViewer Desktop 3.34.0020 or later. Supported On-Premise WebConference Server versions 5.3 or higher.
Improvements
- The FastViewerServiceLog.txt could contain a large number of "notify activity to watchdog" entries, making the log harder to read. These entries are now hidden by default and will only be logged when WatchDogLogEnabled is set to true (settings.xml: default=false).
- Improved keyboard input handling (including special characters) in Hyper-V (VMConnect) and RDP sessions.
- General usability and stability improvements.
Bugs Fixed
- Fixed a connection fallback issue in WebRCConnection when proxy-based cloud connectivity failed.
- Identified and resolved two performance issues that could occur during WebRCGuiApp startup.
- Fixed an Secure Advisor "action on connection end" problem.
- Fixed an issue where delayed reboot requests from the M42 FastViewer WebConsole were executed immediately instead of after the configured delay.
- Additional bug fixes and stability improvements.
